Zarah Maullon

About Me

Hello! My name is Zarah Maullon and I'm a college student from Jacksonville, Florida.

My parents are originally from the Philippines and immigrated to Florida after having my older brother. Unlike my parents and brother, I was born in Florida. Some things about me are my favorite subject in school was math and I was part of the International Baccalaureate (IB) program in high school.

Hobbies & Interests

My interests include video games, anime, TV shows, movies, theatre, and various creative hobbies. I tend to have a lot of different things I'm interested in at once, so there's a lot to choose from.

As for what I'm recently into, I first started attending meetings for UNF's Swoop Troupe last Fall, which reignited a lot of my interest in theatre that I had ever since middle school. I haven't had the chance to involve myself heavily because I ended up focusing more on my academics in high school. With Swoop Troupe, I've been able to go see more shows than I had before with some new friends. I even did my first ever real audition for a production for Ride the Cyclone. Although I didn't get a part, I cherish the experience because I had so much fun on audition day.

Another hobby I've indulged in a lot that's also arts related is creative journaling. I started it back during the pandemic in the summer after my high school sophomore year. I usually theme the pages I arrange after my other interests in various media such as a video game or anime, characters, songs, or specific aesthetics. I have not been able to make more journal pages lately, but I hope to do more again soon.

Education

I have attended Grove Park Elementary, Venetia Elementary, Lake Shore Middle School, and Paxon High School for Advanced Studies in the past. I currently am studying at University of North Florida.
