About Me

Hello, I am Levi Mullins, I am a student at the University of North Florida and am currently working towards a bachelors in computer science.

Some interesting facts about me are that I can play the piano, I love surfing, and I have flown a plane.

Hobbies & Interests

Hiking!!! I absolutely love hiking, and have been on my fair share of sketchy hikes, whether its a short walk through the forest, or walking along the edge of a mountain im always down for a good hike. The picture at the top of this page is me midway through a 6 mile hike in Maui Hawaii, it was the last time i smiled that hike as the rest of it was straight uphill with no shade from the 95 degree sun.

Movies!!! I also very much enjoy watching movies, its always been my favorite artform, and I have a strong passion for good films. I could go on forever about movies, but ill give you my top 2 favorites instead.

  1. Oppenheimer - 2023 directed by Christopher Nolan

Why should I watch this movie?
Directed by Christopher Nolan (known for The Dark Knight, Interstellar, Inception, Memento, Tenet, Dunkirk, etc.), Oppenheimer combines masterful storytelling, beautiful cinematography, an unforgettable soundtrack, and intelligent dialogue to tell the real life story of the father of the atomic bomb. I know that the 3 hour long runtime can be daunting; however, this movie runs at break-neck pace filling each second with important moments, so much so that I almost felt the movie deserved more time. All of this combined with my favorite ending in cinematic history, Oppenheimer is a must watch and one of the most important films of our generation.

  2. Stalker - 1979 directed by Andrei Tarkovsky

Why should I watch this movie?
Directed by Andrei Tarkovsky (known for Solaris, Mirror, The Sacrifice, etc.) Stalker follows a man working as a "Stalker", who guides people through "The Zone", which is an area of the world in which the laws of nature and physics do not apply. This movie in my opinion provides the greatest story ever told in film, the reason that it is not my favorite of all time is that objectively this is a boring movie. with a 2 hour and 43 minute runtime certain scenes linger and seem to drag on for no particular reason; however, I promise that every moment in this movie is working towards a purpose. An extremely philosophical movie that will remain in your mind for years to come.

Education

Currently I am pursuing a bachelors in computer science at the University of North Florida, before that though I recieved my high-school diploma from Oceanside Collegiate Academy
